16 Virginia Units Earn Quality Cadet Unit Award

16 Virginia Wing units have earned the 2020 Quality Cadet Unit Award for their performance in 2019-2020. This award recognizes squadrons that have vibrant cadet programs. Many of these units have received these consecutively and for many years.

A special congratulations to Newport News and Burke for meeting 8 out of 10 criteria, of which only 16 units in the nation met, and to Langley and Prince William for meeting 7 out of 10 criteria, of which only 52 units in the nation met. These four units are in top 13% of units for exceeding the minimum criterion.

MAR-VA-017 Lynchburg Composite Squadron - 5th consecutive year, 9th earned

MAR-VA-023 Danville Composite Squadron- 3rd earned

MAR-VA-025 Langley Composite Squadron - 5th consecutive year, 10th earned

MAR-VA-035 Tidewater Composite Squadron- 4th earned

MAR-VA-040 Winchester Composite Squadron – 2nd consecutive year, 4th earned

MAR-VA-056 Montgomery Composite Squadron- 1st earned

MAR-VA-060 Southside Composite Squadron - 6th consecutive year, 6th earned

MAR-VA-088 Newport News Composite Squadron - 5th consecutive year, 5th earned

MAR-VA-089 Carolyn A. Guertin Cadet Squadron - 5th earned

MAR-VA-095 Coastal Composite Squadron - 6th consecutive year, 6th earned

MAR-VA-102 Prince William Composite Squadron - 8th consecutive year, 8th earned

MAR-VA-108 Fredericksburg Composite Squadron - 10th consecutive year, 10th earned

MAR-VA-117 Leesburg Composite Squadron - 10th consecutive year, 10th earned

MAR-VA-130 Burke Composite Squadron - 3rd consecutive year, 6th earned

MAR-VA-135 Minuteman Composite Squadron - 6th consecutive year, 6th earned
