Winchester Civil Air Patrol CyberPatriot team lands in top 10 for state from first competition round
A local team of cadets from Civil Air Patrol’s (CAP) Winchester Composite Squadron are gearing up to put their cybersecurity skills to the test in CyberPatriot XIV—the fourteenth season of the Air Force Association’s National Youth Cyber Defense Competition.

Cadet Colonel Kathryn Homa, a member of the Virginia Wing’s Leesburg Composite Squadron, has earned the highest achievement a Civil Air Patrol cadet can attain, the Gen. Carl A. Spaatz Award. Only one-half a percent of all cadets in the CAP’s program earn this honor.
