Who We Are
Hanover Composite Squadron is the local Civil Air Patrol (CAP) unit serving Hanover County and one of three CAP squadrons in the Richmond Metro area. Our squadron is comprised of over fifty dedicated volunteers who serve either as cadets (age 12 to 21) or adult members (age 18 and older) from a wide range of backgrounds and occupations.
Based on our core values of integrity, volunteer service, excellence, and respect, Hanover Composite Squadron performs Civil Air Patrol’s congressionally assigned missions of Emergency Services, Aerospace Education, and the Cadet Program while providing a welcoming environment for all who qualify for membership.
We are volunteers serving our community, saving lives, and shaping futures. Come join us!
Meeting Information
We meet on Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Fairfield Presbyterian Church, 6930 Cold Harbor Rd, Mechanicsville.
Note: we do not meet on major holidays or over winter break, or whenever Hanover County government is closed due to inclement weather, and occasionally we meet at alternate locations. Therefore, we recommend you contact us at hanover.squadron@vawg.cap.gov before visiting.
