VAWG Cadet Competition 2026
Annually, Civil Air Patrol’s Virginia Wing hosts a Cadet Competition for squadrons to put their skills to the test against one another for accolades and a pretty cool traveling trophy. This year's competition, held at Wing Headquarters in Chesterfield on May 30, 2026, consisted of a Physical Training test, uniform inspection, element drill test, indoor/outdoor colors posting, and a written evaluation. The judges were staffed by active duty United States Space Force (USSF) representatives, to include members of the USSF Honor Guard.
The event was a roaring success with Burke Composite Squadron, based in Springfield, achieving first place. The squadron will now advance to the Mid-Atlantic Region Cadet Competition. Please join us in congratulating Burke Composite Squadron and all squadrons who participated to make this event a success.
