In 2021, many Virginia Civil Air Patrol (CAP) cadets and senior members received uniforms that are direct connections to the courage, professionalism, and service of United States Air Force personnel.

Cadet Colonel Kathryn Homa, a member of the Virginia Wing’s Leesburg Composite Squadron, has earned the highest achievement a Civil Air Patrol cadet can attain, the Gen. Carl A. Spaatz Award. Only one-half a percent of all cadets in the CAP’s program earn this honor.

More than 50 members of the Civil Air Patrol’s Virginia Wing will gather in Hot Springs this weekend to conduct training in multiple specialties including urban direction finding, aerial photography, aircrew training, mountain flying, flight line operations, basic ground search and rescue, unmanned aerial system operations, mission base operations, and more.
